International students

Eligibility for Application

A person who does not have Japanese citizenship
and meets the following requirements

  • Can take the examinations at the university exam site in person, and has a referee residing in Japan
  • Has completed the 12-year school education curriculum in a foreign country or be expected to complete the curriculum before March, 2021
  • Has taken the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU), have acquired level 2 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT), or are deemed to have an equal or greater proficiency in Japanese language
  • Will be at least 18 years of age at time of admittance to the University.

Documents to be submitted

  1. International student university admittance curriculum vitae (a prescribed form)
  2. International student university admittance identity papers(a prescribed form)
  3. Photograph (4cmx3cm, within 3 months)
  4. Dossier or academic transcript from most recent school
  5. Graduation Diploma/Certificate or Certificate of Expected Graduation/Completion
  6. Reason for application (800 characters in 2 sheets of manuscript paper with space for 400 characters)
  7. Proof of Japanese language proficiency
  8. Certificate of Registered Matters on Alien Registration Card
  9. Certification of income and local tax withheld from regular pay or proof of earnings issued by the municipality for a referee residing in Japan
  10. A copy of all pages of your passport

Examination

Applicants will write an essay and have an interview on the examination day.
